New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on January 25, 2021) follows:

Samsung had commenced the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) stable update rollout for the Galaxy S10 series around a week back with several happy users taking to social media to report that they had finally received it.

However, soon after, the OEM had halted the release for at least the Samsung Galaxy S10 due to unnamed issues. The company had not really confirmed why they were forced to do so at the time.

All this happened following Samsung’s more recent flagships like the S20 series having already received the update. The Galaxy S10 series was only next in line.

However, as per some fresh comments on the Samsung Korean forums, the OEM has finally given out a justification.

Since the release of the Android 11 version of the S10 overseas terminal, it is determined that further improvement related to the camera is needed, so the distribution of the updated version has been temporarily suspended, and a modified version will be released as soon as possible.

As clear from above, the Korean company had halted the roll-out due to some camera issues brought about by the update.

There were some unmentioned pending improvements and Samsung will only re-release after making those necessary changes.

Moreover, multiple reports suggest that there were some other bugs that had to be sorted out like camera blurring and the device heating up.

And while Samsung hasn’t really mentioned any other issues other than with the camera, one can expect other bugs to be smoothed out too with the next update.

It’s unclear at this point as to when Samsung is planning to resume the Galaxy S10 Android 11 update rollout as they haven’t really given out a date.

But given the fact that the beta testing period has already passed and that the issues in question seem to be pretty minor, it should be pretty soon.

As always, we’ll keep our ears open and let you know as soon as there are new developments on the matter. For now, be sure to keep an eye on our dedicated Samsung Android 11 update tracker.
