Underwhelming Xiaomi Android 11 update poll likely suggests most global users yet to switch to new OS

Typically, the official Mi forums is one really active place. Posts on interesting topics such as first-time major OS updates and MIUI discussions almost certainly gain immediate traction there.

But this has not been the case for a recent poll put forward in the forums asking Xiaomi users about their experience so far with Android 11.

The poll was published on January 15. And today, 5 days later, only 42 people have interacted with the poll as of now, which could only mean one thing: most Mi users are yet to get a taste of the new OS to give their experience on the poll.

This is despite the fact that Xiaomi has a significant number of devices already on Android 11 stable. The list includes not only flagship models but several mid-range ones as well.

Some of the noteworthy ones are Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Lite Zoom, Mi 10 Lite, Mi Note 10 Lite, Mi CC9 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom, Poco F2 Pro, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30, and Mi A3.

But then again, some of these devices have only received the updates in China, although this does not justify the underwhelming voter turnout since quite a good number of global variants already received the update.

If anything, this could mean Xiaomi users are a bit skeptical with Android 11 updates from the company and are taking their time to evaluate things before deciding to switch to the new OS.

Moreover, there have also been plenty of rollback and re-release episodes with several Android 11 updates like in the case of Mi 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro

Due to this, it is only understandable that some users might be taking their time to see reviews of the OS for their respective devices before making the switch.

And as already mentioned, all this is reflected in the poll posted by Xiaomi regarding the Android 11 update.

With that being said, be sure to go through our dedicated Android 11 OEM update tracker as well as the MIUI 12.5 update tracker if you are interested in when your Xiaomi device will receive the update.
