Asus ZenFone Max M2 is among the devices that have been anticipating the Android 10 update for months now.

Asus seems to have forgotten this ZenFone series as even after 6 months of beta testing, the company developers have only let down the users. Although there is an Android 10 developer image available, flashing it would only worsen the experience.

The story is way past the “have patience” period and after looking at the recent developments, expecting Android 10 update anytime soon only appears to be a dream.

Amidst all this, Asus has continued to offer monthly security updates, keeping up to at least one of their promises.

A new Android Pie-based security update is rolling out for the Asus ZenFone Max M2 users globally. This update levels up the security patch to November.

More information related to the exact month of the security patch or any other bug/issue fix information has been skipped. Here’s what the changelog exactly says:

[Release Note]
1. Updated Android security patch

Global, India, Russia, and Taiwan are the variants receiving this update. If you are using one of these regional variants, check your update center now.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1/M2 are also uncertain about getting the stable Android 10 update, at least if Asus France is to be believed. Check out the news here if you haven’t already.

This news is definitely bad for the Pro duos but even worse for the non-Pro devices. Asus doesn’t look bothered at all.

While the lives of these devices are about to reach their end in terms of software support, Asus still hasn’t given any signs of hope.

In the meantime, users can explore the wonders of custom ROM developers and flash newer Android versions to get a taste of the latest features.
