The Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro is globally known as the Redmi Note 9S and the former is completely different from the global Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Both global variants and remaining devices in the Redmi Note 9 series are yet to get the Android 11 update in other regions.

Now, the Managing Director at Xiaomi India and Global Vice President, Manu Kumar Jain, has tweeted that the latest update is expected to arrive for more Redmi and Mi devices soon.

This comes as good news for Mi fans across the globe who have been waiting for the Android 11 update to arrive on their Mi or Redmi devices.

Also, this info might be indeed be true as recent reports suggest that Xiaomi is testing the Android 11 stable build for the Poco X3, Redmi Note 9 (aka Redmi 10X 4G), Redmi 9, and Mi Note 10 Lite.

However, no ETA has been provided so it is unclear when the latest OS update will start rolling out to other Xiaomi devices and their regional variants.

So, it is safe to assume that the OEM might start rolling out the said update to its eligible devices in the near future.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
